Just a Thought

Longing for a Break in this World

Some days are hard.  Some days are so full of stress and anxiety and fear and heartache that you long to get away.

Like we did recently.  We went to an all-inclusive resort in a paradise called the Dominican.  It seemed as if we had been put down right in the middle of the Garden of Eden.  Beautiful beach.  Endless buffet of food.  Abundant produce.

Family Life

Our Purpose

To love our God with all our heart, soul, and strength.
To love one another as Jesus loves us.
To reach out to those who are seeking.
To do or say nothing that leads to conflict or hurt.
To teach God’s Word in context.
To bear the “fruit of the Spirit”.

Love God – Love Others – Pass It On

Family Doing Life Together

Family Harvest Church is a Christian church with a contemporary feel. We have a non-denominational ministry style and desire to connect as many people as possible to the unconditional love and grace of God.

Our desire is to connect people to the life that Jesus offers and welcome everyone into Gods Family finding God’s purpose for their lives.

At Family Harvest Church we dress casual, are passionate about worship with contemporary music, and have encouraging messages designed to help everyone connect with God’s mission of love. Your whole family will enjoy a fun filled service as you connect with others seeking God.

Acts chapter 2 paints for us a picture of what the church was meant to look like. So, as we read this description, I want this description to paint a picture, an image, of what God intended for the church. So Acts chapter 2 starts this way (verse 42): “They (the church) devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.” We want to be a praying church. That’s how we want to be known. Not as “the big church” or “the loud Church” (but) we want to be known as “the praying church,” the church that prays. As we look through the scripture today we will see what God has the church to be.

    "Wk 27 Resurrection". Message
The religious and the political leaders of the day had to be secretly celebrating for what they had pulled off in the short span of around sixteen hours. Now there would be no more public rebukes coming to them from Jesus, no more bizarre teaching about loving your enemies, no more awkward moments or flamboyant interruptions in the middle of the temple. No more Jesus.
But that's just what they thought.
God would never allow His own Son to be executed. That would be ludicrous and that would be senseless. Well, in this case it was actually neither. It was love.
